DAY 4 - Party Failure

Failed. I didn’t do any treadmill or any ab workout today. I just got home at the break of dawn on my first test of weekend wellness that ended up almost like any other weekend.

BODY: I drove quite a long drive than my usual Saturday as I went to Las Pinas for Nestle’s despedida avec house blessing. Since I failed to sleep immediately despite the fact that I got home early. If I am to count for strenuous physical activity today it would have to be the massage I got from one my favorite masseuse and the last minute sort of physicality with my boy Romeo. I think if I count the calories burned on those two events it would be more or less equal to what I usually strain myself via the treadmill.

DIET: I had my first meal at the party, kare-kare, lumpiang shanghai, rice, and a small slice of cake. Though I was limited by the party spread, I think i successfully managed the sizes I took on. It’s just that Orko happened to be in the area and invited me to coffee that turned out to be a latte with hazelnut syrup. Then we decided to my coaxing, have some sort of dinner at teriyaki boy. I planned to just eat a couple of tuna gunkans but we ended up ordering their new Tori Brown Rice Platter and i sampled some of Orko’s Asupara Bacon Maki. But all of these controls were lost further when in the absence of a parking slot in front of my condo, I decided to drag Romeo to pick up Victoria and Valentina for coffee that ended up videoke night filled with tacos, onion rings, cheese sticks, barbecue and pork tofu. All of which I drowned with three bottles of Tanduay Ice.

Failed.

MIND: Nothing worth sharing.

Failed.

SPIRIT: Here’s a category where I think I won some good props. Aside from rescuing my BFFS V&V from Saturday boredom, Coffee with Orko is always enriching. She shared with me what she saw in BIO about yet another rebellious spirit that ended up being the owner of the number 1 budget airline in the world. Although early part of my waking day were also notably fruitful. Meeting BJB’s family and friends and spending a good deal of time with Aquaman, who willfully accompanied me to the party. On our way home I volunteered to give a ride to BJB’s friend Sharon which took some minutes off my lifetime because of the traffic going to Southmall. I did see Aquaman’s house on our way back as I dropped him off. And despite the what could be a prelude to a an amazing relationship that will never be because of sex roles that did not play to expectations, I had solid quality time with Romeo today. Happy moments galore.

All in all, I say I can have one day of variation to wellness per week. This could be it. :)
