Day 1 - Not Bad For A First Day
Had myself measured today by our company nurse.
- WEIGHT: 184 lbs (83 kilos)
- BMI: 26.4
I have gained! AArgh! Based on my last ECU I was 25 BMI. which is the ceiling.
My target is to at least get to 170 lbs and be in the range of 18.5 to 24.99 BMI.
Here’s What I Did Today:
I’m so glad the gym downstairs are not full at 7AM. So that gives me the window to start at a consistent time everyday. Good, good!
BODY: 30 mins at the treadmill. Started slow walking to warm up and slowly increasing speed. I was reading a book that I didn’t realize that i’m past 20 minutes already. I started running and lasted for about 5 minutes. Then cooled down. I wasn’t tired or anything, I’m just trying to take it easy on my first day. Total distance is 2.78 Kilometers. I’m not gonna beat myself on that one.
Also did: 3x15 ab workout (front and side obliques total of 135 reps). I used a 10 lbs dumbbell for my obliques. 10 push ups (this was a stretch!) and 10 back facing chair pull ups.
DIET: Since i technically started after midnight, I had the following: Nachos with spicy beef and beans and cheese, Horlicks Cereal drink, 1 cup of mongo soup, 1 serving of tofu and pork, half cup rice. I’m still attempting to do frequent munching versus full blast meal. And i’m getting hungry like every minute. I hope this subsides soon.
MIND: I packed my iPod but decided to read a book as I warm up. Today’s title: Francis J Kong’s The Early Bird Catches the Worm, But the Second Mouse gets the Cheese. I was already at page 16 when i realized I’ve been walking through my cardio. Looks like I can hit 2 birds with 1 stone with this.
SPIRIT: I think I didn’t get angry at all today. Maybe it helped that I only worked for 6 hours and didn’t push myself early because I was sick. Good decision. I also brought Vikki home which is in many books counted as a good deed. :)
Not bad for a first day. :)
P.S. I was planning to take a photo journal of my actual physical improvements but I guess I’m not that of an exhibitionist yet.
