Day 25 - Despedidas

SPIRIT: I woke up surprised to see my brother and Mayden sweety punchy on my couch. That means, they are back together! Which means hurrah! My mom is celebrating her birthday a little early today because of some busy Monday ahead. The close entourage was there including my best friend cousin Ian whom I hugged the moment we saw each other. I am always happy to see my mom enjoy her ice cream binge and try new restaurants with her best friends.

Then off to the most anticipated Saturday of all time. House party at BF resort at Francis’s crib with my team!

Had barely 2 hours of sleep and up I go for a long busy day. I did two or maybe three good deeds today.

1. Woke up really early so as not to miss The Feast today. I did so because my first call center boss Joanna asked me to care for her work family- her Jedi husband, Ferms and Jigger, who is currently suffering great levels of work stress. I am glad I made it part of my list today because I certainly felt it was liberating for him.

2. Then off to West Gate Poquito Mas to attend my work daughter’s civil wedding. It was a long process but love did takeover Tish and EJ’s hearts and now they are sealing it with a ceremonial vow to forever. Tish is pregnant with twins! Now even though we have all thought (and maybe still do) that EJ’s gay, I find that subject irrelevant when witnessing an adult event like this. I can’t help but be happy for them.

3. Maybe perceived as selfish, but I did ask Romeo to accompany me for church and for the wedding today. I do like spending time with him although I am turning on and off every once in a while. I am trying not to be complicated but I also like to carefully thread the line of not breaking his heart. It’s amazing how fragile and damaged he is and how he tries to be full and patient for me. He started exercising, less drinking, and almost immediately quit smoking (at least for the day). I should really start appreciating more. Whether or not my sole purpose is to jumpstart some changes in his life, I am okay with that.
